Help Us Raise $ For Maggie the Meatball

14th Oct 2014

Some of you may already know Maggie the Meatball from our owner's Instagram page. If you don't know about her story, we will sum it up for you:

Maggie had previously lived in a large family, and had presumably been bred at least once in her past. Unfortunately, there were some family issues that led to Maggie being dropped off at a shelter. A good samaritan happened to meet Maggie while she was in the shelter, and ended up and taking her home with plans to foster Maggie until a forever home could be found. Maggie's foster mom had no luck finding her a good home all on her home, so she contacted a friend who led her to Bay Area Bullies Rescue. Even though Maggie's life began in Washington, her journey brought her to California, where a whole new life has started for her. Maggie spent a lot of time jumping from different foster homes all over the map until she landed in our laps, and we couldn't have been happier.

Maggie came to us happy as a clam, even though she had a few health issues that could very well have affected her attitude. She absolutely adores people, and will happily lick the face of any stranger she comes into contact with. She settled in almost immediately with our pack and in our home. We became incredibly attached to the Meatball, having nursed her through her surgeries, plus her nonstop desire to show love- we definitely didn't know if we could let her be adopted. After reviewing the strongest applicant, meeting them, and seeing them interact with Maggie, we knew that her forever family had found her at last.

Though she is now finally in her forever home, Bay Area Bullies Rescue suffered financially from the costs of her surgeries and vet care. Please help us raise the funds to cover what we are already in debt for! Any new donations can be made directly to Bay Area Bullies Rescue via PayPal!
